Red Rising

One of the best fantasy books I have read. The first in a trilogy which begins on Mars. In this world all people are classified by the colour of their eyes and all are ruled by the Golds. The Reds are the lowest of society, living underground as miners and told the world is dying, their suffering the only hope for humanity. When Darrow learns all he has been told is a lie, with the help of a group of rebels he is transformed into a young Gold and so begins the brutal training of the ruling classes to become one of them to bring down the regime from within.
